The backstory: Nicholas Roske, 26, planned to break into the house of Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh, kill the justice, and kill himself. He was apparently distraught over the leaked draft opinion to overturn Roe v. Wade and the possibility of loosened gun control. Roske was arrested with a handgun, a knife, and other materials.

Violence from pro-abortion activists is ramping up. A New York pro-life pregnancy center was firebombed this week. A North Carolina pro-life center was vandalized with threatening messages. According to the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops, arson and vandalism attacks on churches have been growing amid the abortion question. Activists report increasing violence as well.

Nancy Pelosi is blocking Congress from increasing security for Supreme Court Justices and their families. A bipartisan bill to expand protection for justices and their families passed in the Senate but is being stalled in the House.

The mainstream media doesn’t care about the assassination attempt or the increasing violence. Reason magazine noted that The New York Times home page ranked the story as yesterday's 16th most important news item.
