The scoop: Jordon Walker, a director of research at Pfizer, said that the company is interested in “mutating” COVID-19 into new versions of the virus that Pfizer could preemptively make vaccines for. This was one of several revealing statements he made to an undercover journalist with Project Veritas.

The idea: Walker said Pfizer researchers have discussed spreading COVID through monkeys to try and find new mutations that would be “more potent.” He noted that COVID would continue to be a “cash cow” for Pfizer to exploit. He acknowledged that failing to control the experiments could result in a deadly outbreak similar to what may have happened in Wuhan, China, where the virus originated.

The corruption: Walker said that Pfizer is so connected to the federal government that it acts as a “revolving door” for officials who end up taking jobs with the company. Regulators are “not going to be as harsh on the company where they’re [going to get] their job.” The situation is “good for the industry” but “bad for everyone else in America,” Walker said.

The reaction: When Project Veritas confronted Walker about his comments, he claimed he was “lying” to “impress” the journalist who had posed as his date. He also denied that he worked at Pfizer, though Project Veritas produced documents showing his job position. Legacy media outlets are mostly silent on this story.
