List Of Politicians Breaking Their Own Lockdown Rules

Rules for thee, but not for me.

Rules For Thee, Not For Me: Since the pandemic's beginning, politicians imposed lockdowns that devastated small businesses and the working class. Not only were these politicians fiscally unharmed, but they also autocratically ignored their own rules.

President Joe Biden: Biden signed a mask mandate requiring everyone on federal property to wear masks. Later that day, he was at the Lincoln Memorial doing a photo-op with his entire family. No masks were used.

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi: Had her hair styled at a San Francisco hair salon, which was in violation of Covid-19 restrictions.

California Gov. Gavin Newsom: State guidelines limited private gatherings, yet Newsom was caught, without masks, indoors at an extremely high-end restaurant with lobbyists.

Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot: Got a haircut from a professional stylist in April while salons were shut down under the state's stay-at-home order.

New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo: Discouraged New Yorkers from family gatherings ahead of Thanksgiving, then planned for his family to gather. He canceled his plans after backlash.

New York City Mayor Bill De Blasio: Shut down Times Square for New Years Eve, and then proceeded to go there, on New Years Eve, to dance with his wife.

California Sen. Dianne Feinstein: Was criticized for not wearing a mask on multiple occasions in the US capitol.

Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer: Her husband requested to get the family boat in the water before Memorial Day weekend. This was after Whitmer imposed a controversially-strict lockdown. She told people to stay away from vacation spots.

Virginia Gov. Ralph Northam: Seen without a mask, within six feet of others at Virginia Beach. This was one day after he suggested that he'd pass a mandatory mask requirement for his state.

Austin Mayor Steve Adler: Urged Austin residents to stay home and not relax about the pandemic. He did this while he was vacationing in Cabo with seven other people.

Denver Mayor, Michael Hancock: "Pass the potatoes, not COVID... Avoid travel." Hancock wrote this as he was in an airport to visit family in Mississippi for the holidays.

D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser: Bowser was accused of breaking her own travel rules to travel to congratulate Biden. She claimed it was essential travel.

San Jose Mayor Sam Liccardo: Attended a Thanksgiving dinner with seven other family members, while the mandate ordered that gatherings are limited to three.

L.A. County Supervisor Sheila Kuehl: She dined at a Santa Monica Restaurant after voting to approve a dining ban earlier.

San Francisco Mayor London Breed: Attended a birthday celebration after he urged city residents to avoid large gatherings.

Brooklyn Borough President Eric Adams: Held an indoor crowded fundraiser as the state strongly discouraged such gatherings.

Illinois Gov. J.B. Pritzker: Issued travel restrictions and stay-at-home orders, yet has flown his family to their Wisconsin estate and his wife to their Florida vacation home.

Louisiana Gov. John Bel Edwards: Seen at a club without a mask, then ordered bars to close and restricted other gatherings with tight mask requirements.

Dr. Birx: After urging Americans to spend time only with their household, Birx traveled to a vacation home in Delaware following Thanksgiving. She spent time with three generations of her family from two different households.
