Utah developed a point-based system for prioritizing COVID patient care during the pandemic. More points were allocated for being non-white than for having congestive heart failure, meaning patients were less likely to be treated if they were white even if they had more severe health issues.

Encouraged by Biden Administration: New documents obtained by the Washington Free Beacon now show that Utah was aware of the illegality but was encouraged to maintain the policy by the Biden Administration’s Department of Health and Human Services.
