What’s happening: Multiple bills have been proposed or passed in state legislatures across the nation that would place restrictions on transgender surgeries and hormonal treatments.

Drag shows: Additional bills circulating state legislatures include restrictions on drag shows, such as the bill in Arizona that would label these events as “adult performances” and limit the times they are allowed. A West Virginia bill aims to classify such events as “obscene.” A West Virginia bill aims to classify such events as “obscene” as more and more progressives encourage children to attend these shows.

Big picture: Republican state legislators are working to fight against transgenderism and the sexualization of children, which has permeated public schools, entertainment, and the health care industry.
